Begin your journey in Victoria Falls, where you’ll explore one of the Seven Natural Wonders of the World. Enjoy a guided tour of the falls, a tranquil sunset cruise on the Zambezi River, and time to experience local culture and adventure activities like helicopter flights or bungee jumping.

Itinerary

Your safari begins on arrival at Victoria Falls International Airport, where our representative will meet you and transfer you to your lodge. After settling in, spend some time relaxing by the pool or strolling around town.

In the late afternoon, enjoy a sunset cruise on the Zambezi River, one of the most memorable ways to begin your African adventure. Watch as hippos wallow, crocodiles bask on the banks, and elephants come down to drink — all while the sky turns brilliant shades of orange and purple. Refreshments and light snacks are served on board.

After breakfast, set off on a guided tour of Victoria Falls, one of the Seven Natural Wonders of the World. Walk through the lush rainforest and stop at several viewpoints for awe-inspiring views of the world’s largest sheet of falling water, locally known as “Mosi-oa-Tunya”The Smoke That Thunders.

The afternoon is free for optional activities such as:

  • A helicopter flight over the Falls for a bird’s-eye view.

  • White-water rafting on the Zambezi (seasonal).

  • A visit to a local craft market or cultural village.

In the evening, enjoy dinner at leisure — options include the lively Boma Dinner & Drum Show for an authentic Zimbabwean experience.

After breakfast, transfer across the border into Botswana (about 1.5 hours). Arrive at your lodge near Chobe National Park, famous for its immense elephant herds and rich biodiversity.

This afternoon, set out on a boat safari along the Chobe River. From the water, you’ll enjoy close encounters with elephants crossing, hippos bathing, buffalo herds grazing, and a variety of birdlife. As the sun sets over the river, sip a sundowner and soak in the magic of Africa.

Rise early for a morning game drive inside Chobe National Park. The cool morning hours are perfect for spotting predators like lions and leopards on the move. Elephants, giraffes, antelopes, and rich birdlife are also frequently sighted.

Return to camp for a hearty brunch and some time to relax. In the afternoon, head back out on another game activity — either a game drive or another boat cruise depending on the day’s conditions.

Dinner is served under the stars, accompanied by the sounds of the African night.

After breakfast, you will transfer by road (or light aircraft, depending on your package) to Gweta, where you will check in and enjoy lunch before heading out to the Makgadikgadi Salt Pans. In the late afternoon, immerse yourself in the vast, otherworldly expanse as you watch a spectacular sunset over the endless white plains. As night falls, enjoy stargazing under the clear desert skies, where the stars and constellations are revealed like nowhere else on Earth, creating a truly magical experience.

This morning, join a meerkat encounter, visiting a habituated colony. Watching these curious little creatures stand guard and forage is a heartwarming highlight.

Depending on the season:

  • Dry season: Continue quad biking deep into the pans, experiencing the feeling of infinity as the horizon stretches endlessly.

  • Wet season: The pans transform into shallow lakes that attract flamingos, pelicans, and other migratory birds — a true spectacle of nature.

In the afternoon, enjoy a guided game drive or cultural interaction with local communities such as the San Bushmen, learning about their traditions and survival skills.

End the day with a farewell dinner under the stars, celebrating your safari journey.

Overnight:  Makgadikgadi Salt Pans

You will start your day early in Gweta with a unique meerkat encounter, observing these charming and highly social animals in their natural habitat. Your guide will share fascinating insights into their behavior, family structure, and survival strategies, while giving you plenty of opportunities for photography. After this memorable wildlife experience, you will begin your road transfer to Maun, traveling through scenic landscapes that showcase the heart of Botswana’s Kalahari region. The journey typically takes approximately 3–4 hours, with stops along the way to stretch and enjoy the views. Upon arrival in Maun, you will check in at Cresta Maun Hotel, where you can unwind and freshen up. The remainder of the day is at leisure, giving you the option to relax at the hotel, enjoy the pool, or explore the town. Dinner can be enjoyed at the hotel or at one of Maun’s local restaurants, as you prepare for the next stage of your safari adventure.

You will spend a full day exploring the tranquil waterways of the Okavango Delta on a traditional mokoro, a dugout canoe expertly guided by local polers. Glide silently through the winding channels, surrounded by lush papyrus and reeds, as you observe a rich variety of wildlife including hippos, elephants at the water’s edge, and colorful bird species. Along the way, you will have the opportunity to disembark and take short walks on small islands, learning about the Delta’s unique ecosystem, medicinal plants, and local culture from your guide. A picnic lunch will be served on one of the islands, offering a serene spot to relax and soak in the beauty of this UNESCO World Heritage site. In the afternoon, continue exploring the peaceful waterways before returning to your lodge or campsite, reflecting on a day immersed in one of Africa’s most extraordinary wilderness areas.

After enjoying breakfast at your lodge or hotel in Maun, you will check out and prepare for your onward journey. Your guide or driver will transfer you to the Maun Airport in time for your flight, allowing you to reflect on the unforgettable wildlife encounters and scenic experiences you have enjoyed throughout your safari. This marks the conclusion of your Botswana adventure, departing with memories of the Okavango Delta, Chobe, Makgadikgadi, and the rich wildlife of the region.
